Road-trip to Atlanta, GA

Here I am, at 10:24 pm, anxiously awaiting my road trip to Atlanta, GA.  I get to see me and the hubby’s new apartment and the town and meet with some peeps about some gigs.  Then after my brief trip, I go back to D.C. to finish out teaching my summer classes, then back to Atlanta at the end of August.  Holey camole.  This is a wild summer for me folks.

I’m going to take some pics of our new abode and the surrounding town.  I hope it’s as cool as I hear it is. We’re hitting the road at midnight.  Nine hours, here we go…

Hello Piggly Wiggly shopping marts!

Hello Georgia peaches!

Hello clogged interstates!

Hello extremely hot temperatures!

As Borat says,”Wah wah wooo ee!”

“Hot” should be in BOLD and ALL CAPS. August in Georgia.

It is just as humid as DC, but 10 degrees hotter. And there is red clay everywhere.

The advabtage is that the winters are MUCH better that the DC winters. Hide the big coat and gloves….you wont need it there!

It is kind of like Hell…just kidding!

Hey Tara- I know you posted this forever ago, but Andrew White is also moving to GA (Athens) to go to grad school and I have a few awesome theatre friends in Atlanta. I can send you info if you want to make some sweet ass new friends. :)
