A Wedding to Remember

Here are some afterthoughts that I have after going to my friend’s wedding (who happens to be in a multi-level marketing business thing) and there were some very interesting observations:

The Vows:  In her vows to her husband she said, “I look forward to developing and distributing with you…”

The Bridesmaids:  Consisted of some people she didn’t even know and folks who were her “upline” or “downline” in the business.

The Conversations:  As people were being seated, the conversation around us consisted of things like, “We’re working on going diamond” or “So and so is Ruby now but working their way up” or “Now I’m going to be the grooms first Platinum leg so it’s like we’re all getting married.”  Yeah.

The Reception Dinner:  The mode of operation was apparently to BYOU (Bring Your Own Utensils) and BYOC (Bring Your Own Chair)  because there were definitely not enough of these supplies around.  There were old people sitting on the floor and people cutting their meat with one chopstick and a spoon.

The Slideshow:  Had a bunch of pictures of the couple at their business “functions.”  It was very awkward.

The Family and Close friends:  Were sitting around crying tears of sadness instead of tears of joy.

Needless to say, the experience was very eye-opening and interesting.  I found the experience more depressing than uplifting.

  3. Yes, it’s totally true about being able to make money from doing some type of online jobs like paid online surveys, freelance jobs, data entry, etc. You can make a few hundreds dollars a month, if not more, depending on how many you sign up for and how hard you work. I have done online surveys, data entry and some other things. Some pay O.K. and some pay less than you’d like. Well, that’s life I guess. But the best part of it is that I can work in my pajamas and don’t have to deal with traffic and crowded trains and buses. Anyways, I get everything I need from this website:
