Start Preparing for St. Patty’s Day!

ireland_castle.jpg

Folks, I’m going away to some wedding this weekend so I’ll leave you with some resources for a fabulous St. Patrick’s Day celebration.  I’ll explain these links and their relevance, so happy internet surfing!

Shamrock Fest  Major Washington D.C. Metro Area St. Patrick’s Day event, great bands -rock, Irish, Celtic, etc., different stages, games, alcohol, and festivities.  March 15th– get your tickets now!!

St. Patrick’s Day T-Shirts  from the great company Palmer Cash who makes awesome retro t-shirts with fun themes.  Check out their St. Patty’s shirts-they are awesome!

Carbon Leaf  local rock band with Irish/Celtic roots, great music, go ahead and listen to their music on this site.

Lucky Charms  a must-have for the holiday.  This cereal is loaded with enough sugar to keep you bouncin’ all day.  Trust me.

The Holiday Spot  O.K. this site has EVERYTHING that you would ever need to throw a big St.Patty’s Day themed party.  Fun, games, poems, songs, merchandise, gifts, etc.  Enjoy.

St. Patrick’s Day History Brush up on your knowledge of the holiday by studying its Wikipedia site.

Native Celebration  So if you’re going to be in Dublin, Ireland on St.Patrick’s Day, check out this site for local festivities.

Gluten-Free Beer  For you folks who are over 21 and Gluten-Free, there is hope.  Redbridge Beer is made without wheat and is safe for those who are GF to drink.  I used to be GF so this is how I know these things.  Have fun and get smashed.

Irish Restaurants:

Steak and Ale  Need I say more?

Bennigans

Irish Inn  Glen Echo, MD  As close to an authentic restaurant experience as you can get.  In the proximity of the D.C. Metro area.

Four-leaf Clovers  A site that sells products that have genuine four-leaf clovers in them.  Great gifts for those who need a turn of good luck!

Pot-of-Gold   Well, not quite.  But these chocolates made by Hershey are quite good.  Give someone the gift of a pot-of-gold.

There you have it.  If you found other great websites that promote the St.Patrick’s Day holiday, please send them this way.

 See you on Monday.
