I’ve lost my friend to this “business.” (Read this article, it’s fantastic: http://www.amquix.info/Amway_lies.html)
I want to know what’s behind it and if anyone else has gone through what I’ve experience. After joining Quixstar (a.k.a. Amway), she has disconnected from her closest friends and family. She only associates with people in the “business.” She only really talks about the “business.” She’s always trying to sell me bogus stuff. The few times we actually speak on the phone, she is either driving to one of their meetings or actually meeting with a customer. In addition, out of nowhere, she converted to fundamental christianity because her business associates told her to. The whole situation baffles the mind.
Check out the tax reports, earnings and losses, here: http://www.amquix.info/Amway_Tax_Scam.html
I wish there was something I could do but I feel so helpless. Anytime anyone says anything even slightly negative about “the business,” she withdraws and gets extremely angry. She’s been telling me that all of her hard work is going to lead to her becoming a millionare and everyone will wish they had joined Quixstar like she did. Maybe she will become a millionare and all of her shattered relationships will be worth it. Or maybe she won’t.
Check out this video, and the many others on YouTube, and you decide.

I read your story, and you know, it sounds just like my older brother! He stopped speaking to me a couple of years ago for absolutely no reason that I can think of. I went to his apartment for Thanksgiving (which by the way, was cluttered with boxes of Quixstar products), and I haven’t been able to get a hold of him since. My husband and I didn’t feel very comfortable over there, as my brother was trying to push Quixstar energy drinks onto my husband, and giving us this spiel about people (supposedly just like them), who made it rich off the company (yet they were living in an apartment with a broken down car). Perhaps my brother or his wife, caught a snicker from me while I was there (I mean, who wouldn’t with all that ‘garbage’ in their living room?), and maybe that’s why they don’t talk to me. But it’s very sad. They too, are also into the church thing (nothing is wrong with church, as I go to one too. But they seem to have different beliefs). It’s like they are brainwashed or something, because they’ve spent over a decade screwing themselves out of money that they should have put into a retirement plan.

I’m so sorry that your brother is involved in this cult-like situation. They are told to not associate with anyone who does not approve of Quixstar as they will bring you down and keep you from getting your millions. Is your brother’s wife in Quixstar too? It makes it so hard to leave the business when your spouse is involved in it as well. That’s why Quixstar heavily incourages marriage because it makes the pyramid of the business model even stronger. How are we going to get these people back?? Some people say that the only way that folks quit Quixstar is when they go completely bankrupt. You are correct about their views on religion; it’s centered around money and praying for more of it (my other friend who is not in the business begrudgingly went to one of those masses and witnessed their sermons).
I hope that we can get our loved ones back to us again. I’m so sorry you guys have been so estranged.

Been there, done that. My wife and I bought into there B.S., sold our RV, motorcycle, spent our savings and worked their business for several years.
Their business plan works exceptionally well. They made a ton of money off of us and we went broke!
It’s a rip-off!

Well, I am afraid to say that my ex husband and I were in it when it was just Amway – we pretty much just associated with our ‘friends” in the business. We didn’t want to be quitters so we kept trying and trying. My husband wasn’t the salesperson in the family though, I am – but we were told that he should be doing the calling and showing the plan and I should be doing the ‘paperwork’… well, that didn’t work because he didn’t have the skill set for sales or the confidence – we tried, bought books, tapes and constantly talked about it and tried to set up meetings – went to every function (even out of town) no matter the expense – even though we weren’t making our mortgage payments – we lost our house and decided that the business wasn’t for us – unfortunately once we were ‘quitters’ our ‘friends’ didn’t call us anymore – so we lost our friends too. Don’t get me wrong – I am a firm believer in entrepreneurial ventures and have done many business of my own since then – but that particular company is really for a couple where the guy can do the talking, oh, and we found out later that our upline made money on the books and tapes we bought too (hundreds of dollars worth) – that was disappointing. But, I still believe that if one wants to be financially free then one must find their own way – a job isn’t going to get you anywhere… so I am still working on money making opportunities but I am diversifying. Check out my website – it’s a good, very low cost opportunity and I have already received some commission checks with minimal effort. So I am stepping up my effort on that one. Good luck to all!

Thanks for the info guys some guy tried to sell me into this thing gave me these ridiculous cds they kept saying its rated bv and its coming your town its creepy. I will keep my dignity and avoid this scam of super corporate America B.S.
everyone is trying to get a buck nowadays and the way the economy is they are even more desperate. Anyone wanting to do this stay away avoid the 1 hour long lecture from the person trying to sell you this garbage. They also want your investment into the company of 158 dollars might as well flush it down the toilet if you plan to buy into this

it sounds like most of you have unstable friends in the first place. the point of getting into any business venture is to make a great life for you and your family. not to give up everything you have and cut your friends off. its common scense that you spend with in your means. i am an Ibo and i dont make a whole lot of money from my current job i have now. but i still manage to keep my business running and i dont have to sell my things off. it cost me $60.00 a month to keep my business running.
